Hello all!

Welcome to Empowering Minds, Empowering Moms! Our goal is to create a welcoming environment for parents  considering a four year college degree.  A group of wonderful Shenandoah students, most of us parents ourselves, have come together to bring you a wealth of information on everything from the Financial Aid process to “Things to do” around the Winchester, VA area. We researched family doctors, dentists, housing and even babysitters from on and around campus to share with you! We have a common goal: to be mentors to single mothers thinking about college, and to encourage post secondary education as a means of empowerment for oneself and one’s children.

Be sure to check out “Contact Us” if you have any questions, would like help in the application or financial aid process, or if you would like any other information!  We look forward to getting to know you.
